Google’s Bryan Thomas on the private sector’s role in protecting against adversaries in a cyber war front
Managing Director for Google Public Sector Bryan Thomas shares his thoughts on how the war in Ukraine changed how the U.S. considers digital technology and cybersecurity integral to defense.
“What Google has been able to do is leverage the technology that we have for all of our forward-facing customers around the globe and leverage those capabilities to filter out information that was inaccurate [and we were able]…to provide maps, guidance to [help] get refugees safely out of Ukraine and protect citizens,” he says. Thomas also highlights how kinetic will always be a big concern, but future wars will be fought on a cyber war front.
